G20 counter conference
The Put People First G20 Counter Conference is one of two alternative G20 conferences being held simultaneously in London and St Andrews on November 7th to coincide with the G20 finance ministers meeting on 7th-8th November. The conference will take place at Westminster Central Hall, a fantastic venue right in the heart of London.
G20: No More Business as Usual
Put People First Campaigning Day: This autumn the G20 is back. On Friday 4 September, the G20 Finance Ministers are meeting in London to discuss the financial crisis, for the first time since April's G20 summit. So far they've flunked the challenge of putting people first in response to the financial crisis, preferring instead to patch up the old system that has led to global poverty, inequality and the threat of climate chaos.

G20 leaders have not yet gone far enough on the fundamental changes the world needs. The communique appears to have made progress on some critical issues but there were also missed opportunities, especially on building a green economy, and some areas where it moves in the wrong direction.

Put People First - the role of sustainable finance

On 28th March thousands will march through London as part of a global campaign to challenge the G20, ahead of their 2nd April summit on the global financial crisis.

Thousands of people from across the UK will march through central London tomorrow (Saturday 28 March) ahead of the G20 summit to demand decent jobs and public services for all, an end to global poverty and inequality, and a green economy.
